Walter Mourant

Clarinade

Nancy Ackerman

Clarinade – composed by Mel Powell, edited by Walter Mourant, and made famous by Benny Goodman.

When we performed this piece at an “All Mourant Performance” we served this tasty punch at the reception that followed the concert. Many attendees asked for the recipe so here it is:

Mix together:
1 quart grape juice
1 quart lemonade
1 liter lemon flavored seltzer water
2 scoops of lemon sherbet
Serve chilled.
